Hands on Learning
The only way to learn computers
No boring lectures in this class!

If given a new toy, a child will learn how to use the toy by playing with it. The child learns by experimenting with the toy, a process of discovery. So it is with computers. We learn new software programs by using them.

This class is a "hands on" class. You will learn the Internet by going to it and using it to do things that are important to you. The links in the navigational bar given above are to the activities that you will perform as you have fun with your computer and learn the Internet. You may do the activities in any order, and you may do them as fast or as slow as you desire.  However, some of the activities assume you have done the previous activities and that you understand certain aspects of computer literacy. As you have questions, ask your neighbor for help. Or, if you prefer, raise your hand and the instructor will come and spend one-on-one time with you.
